Fibre Engineers (Full Sub-Contractor)
 
Location:            Midlands, Hertfordshire, Wales, North East, North West, Yorkshire, Areas

We are currently looking to recruit a Fibre Engineers to work on our Telecom Contract in the Midlands, Hertfordshire, Wales, Leedsregions.
 
The purpose of this position is to ensure a scheduled programme of work is delivered on time, to budget in a safe, quality manner across all products.
 
This role will be on synthetics/price rates, ideally you will have all your own kit/van/tools.
 
As a Splicer, your duties & responsibilities will be:
 
  • Installation and testing of all fibre cabling work.
  • Complete and submit all necessary documentation.
  • Auto toggle SASAs, and complete all port testing on CBTs
  • Deal with day-to-day issues and problems
 
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
 
  • A proven track record of working as a splicer within the Telecoms Industry or other similar utilities
  • N23
  • MEWP ticket
  • Experience in Cabling and Splicing.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety NRSWA requirements
  • NRSWA accredited
  • Able to meet strict quality standards.
  • Awareness of Customer Satisfaction for both internal and external sources.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work out of hours / weekends when required.
  • Able to work alone or part of a team
  • A strong technical background across multiple disciplines
